TOOTH BLEACHING WHY?
The natural white tooth color can change over the years. Some factors such as cigarette consumption, coffee, tea, cola, red wine and certain medications can also lead to discoloration of the teeth.

The innovative cosmetic tooth whitening of PEARLSMILE® differs from classic bleaching by using a gel with a peroxide content of less than 0.1% (in accordance with EU Directive 2011/84/eu) in combination with LED cold light. Treatment with PEARLSMILE® is painless and the enamel and gums are not affected.

The current tooth color is determined before the treatment. The PEARLSMILE® gel is applied to a special disposable dental tray, which is then placed in the mouth. The LED light sets the bleaching process in motion. After 21 minutes, the treatment ends and the teeth are a few shades lighter. For optimum results, especially when bleaching for the first time, 2-3 treatments of 21 minutes each should be carried out in quick succession.
For optimum results, cigarettes, food and drinks (except water) should be avoided for the first two hours after treatment. In the first two days after treatment, the treated teeth absorb discoloration more easily. Therefore, the consumption of strongly staining foods and smoking should be avoided for the first 48 hours. The whitening of the teeth lasts up to 6 months. To maintain the whitening result, strengthen the enamel and remove tartar, Pearlshine tooth powder is particularly recommended for smokers and coffee and red wine drinkers.
According to the manufacturer, the treatment can lighten teeth by up to 9 shades. The gel is manufactured in Germany and has been awarded the German safety seal. Pearlsmile® teeth whitening is therefore a purely cosmetic and completely safe treatment that can be repeated as often as required.
Tooth whitening can be considered for healthy teeth. Before the treatment, dental caries should be treated by your family dentist and the tartar removed by means of a professional dental cleaning (PZR). We recommend a regular professional teeth cleaning 1-2 times a year. As with classic tooth whitening, the color of any dental restorations (fillings and crowns) cannot be changed by tooth whitening.
