ARE YOU DISSATISFIED WITH YOUR HYALURONIC ACID TREATMENT?
HYLASE HELPS!
Hyaluronic acid fillers are one of the most popular non-surgical cosmetic treatments today. Without incisions, anesthesia or downtime, they can reshape the face, soften fine lines and wrinkles, improve lip shape and size, enhance the chin or jawline, fill hollows under the eyes or improve the appearance of shallow scars. The results appear immediately after treatment and are long-lasting - usually lasting from months to years. In the hands of an experienced practitioner, hyaluronic acid fillers are a safe and effective option that can achieve long-term, natural-looking results.
However, the high demand for dermal fillers has unfortunately also given rise to a large number of rogue providers, not all of whom have sufficient skills and qualifications to carry out injections. Visiting an inexperienced or poorly trained practitioner increases the risk of developing complications or receiving an unnatural-looking result.
WHAT IS HYLASE?
Hyaluronidase is a natural enzyme found in the human body that naturally helps to break down hyaluronic acid in the tissue. This effect is used in medicine to dissolve swellings, nodules or deformations caused by hyaluronic acid injections.
IN WHICH CASES DOES TREATMENT WITH HYLASE MAKE SENSE?
Serious complications from hyaluronic fillers are rare. However, as with any other cosmetic procedure, there is some risk involved. These risks vary depending on the type of filler used, the capabilities of the injector and how each patient's individual body reacts to the filler.
The most common applications of Hylase include
- Excessive swelling
- Asymmetrical or distorted results
- Lumps or uneven texture
- Overfilling, which causes an unnatural, swollen appearance
- Underfilling that does not produce visible results
For example, a Hylase treatment can help if one side of the lip is more voluminous than the other after an injection, if the proportions of the nose or chin are not uniform or if lumps appear in the sensitive lower eyelid tissue if injected incorrectly. In more extreme cases, filler correction is performed in cases of infection, allergic reactions, granuloma or blockage of a blood vessel. Other patients have no side effects but want to improve their results or decide that fillers are not suitable for them after all.
WHICH AREAS CAN BE TREATED WITH HYALSE?
Hylase treatment can be used in the following areas:
- Cheeks
- Lips
- Nose
- Upper eyelids and brows
- Tear troughs under the eyes
- Nasolabial folds and laugh lines
- Chin and jawline
PROCEDURE OF THE HYLASE TREATMENT:
First, a thorough examination of the area in question is carried out. This ensures that any lumps or swellings are actually caused by the injected hylauronic acid. The hylauronic acid is then injected under the skin of the area in question in small injections. The treatment is painless and takes around 20 minutes.
HOW QUICKLY DOES HYLASE WORK?
The dosage of hyaluronidase is selected so that it is significantly higher than the body's own enzyme. The effect therefore sets in within a few hours. As a rule, swellings or nodules dissolve completely within 24 hours.
In general, incorrect or unsuccessful hyaluronic acid treatment should be quickly counteracted with hyaluronidase. However, the treatment is also promising for hyaluronic acid deposits that have been present for some time.
WHAT DOES A HYLASE TREATMENT COST?
A treatment with Hylase costs 250 euros*. As wrinkle treatment is a so-called "non-essential medical procedure", the costs are unfortunately not covered by health insurance.
